Lilieta is from the Kingdom of Tonga, and holds a background in History and Politics. She is the Project Officer for PISFCC, and works to amplify the voices of frontline communities facing the harsh realities of the climate crisis. Her role focuses on highlighting the lived experiences of Pacific peoples, whose ways of life, traditions, and ancestral knowledge systems are under immediate threat due to rising sea levels and ecological disruption. She is committed to ensuring that these cultural dimensions are at the heart of climate advocacy, especially through the #ClimateICJAO campaign for which she sees as a cultural and moral imperative.
Beyond her advocacy work, Lilieta is a passionate traditional sailor and paddler, deeply connected to the ocean and the cultural practices it sustains. She believes that intergenerational justice and indigenous resilience are key to a just and sustainable future for Pacific communities and the planet as a whole.
