02 December - 13 December 2024
The Hague, The Netherlands

The Pacific is calling for Climate Justice At The ICJ

Why were the Oral Hearings Important?

The Oral Hearings phase in the #ClimateICJAO proceedings meant that, for the very first time, the public heard what governments and international organisations officially said about climate change and human rights.

The hearings saw the participation of the largest number of women, young people and Pacific Island countries, a Historic event in shaping international law.
