ICJAO Alliance writes to Australian Prime Minister for suppport

The Global Alliance to seek an ICJ advisory opinion wrote a joint letter to the Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese informing him of the global campaign for an ICJ advisory opinion on climate change and human rights and urging his support for the campaign at the Pacific Islands Forum and later at the UN General Assembly.

The letter welcomed the ‘new era of engagement with the Pacific that the Government has announced’ and emphasised that supporting the ICJ advisory opinion campaign would greatly benefit Pacific solidarity against the greatest challenge of our time.
